I don't care what they wanna call it, Its "The Hive" to me

Yesterday I visited the climbable sculpture currently called the Vessel but I’ve been calling it the Hive.

This is one of those spots that I would likely not visit on my own but my mom wanted to do it so what the hell.

2 weeks before the visit I work up at 8am to get tickets. They have a system with a digital “que” you get in then you presumably can buy tickets. Well this system is so bad! It didn’t allow me to select the day. I then tried in another browser and my phone, having to wait in que for about 30 minutes every time.
After 2 hours I gave up.

We decided that we would take our chance with “day of” tickets that are handed out starting at 9:30am.

The day came and my mom was there in line at 9:15. Low and behold, we got a ticket, entering at 10am that morning.

Now it was incredibly windy that day which I didn’t anticipate. I wore a dress that seemed fine but with its light fabric the wind picked it up easily, providing a show for all around me. 🤦‍♀️

But I managed to hold the dress in one hand and just try to not let go.

Either way made for some fun photos and a good, but rather cold, experience.
